God has blessed our family in many ways since 1998/1999. He has been growing and teaching us a great deal about who we are and who He wants us to be. We are Steve (Dad), Michelle (Mom), our son Niko (13), our daughter Mia (9), our son Luke (7), and our son Ian (5). By God's grace, we are born-again believers in and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in and abide in God's Word, the Holy Bible, which is God's source of truth and wisdom. We are sinners saved by the grace of God through the precious blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus first saved Steve in March of 1999 and Michelle in February 1998 (see "Our Testimonies" for more details).

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

After first saving us, God convicted us to trust Him with the size of our family. The Lord has blessed us with our son, Niko (almost 14), our daughter, Mia (10), our son, Luke (7 1/2), and our son, Ian (5 1/2).

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them."
(Psalm 127:3-5)

Soon after that, God called our family to homeschool. The Lord has shown us that we are responsible for teaching our children. We are to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4b).He has taught us what an honor and a privilege it is to be parents.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength.
And these words, which I command you today, shall be in your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them
when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way,
when you lie down, and when you rise up."
(Deuteronomy 6:5-7)

After a year of being unchurched and eight months of worshipping as a family at home, the Holy Spirit led us to a homechurch with many people who had similar convictions (almost all homeschooling families). The Lord led us to a homechurch called Family Bible Fellowship (FBF). We were a part of FBF from October 1999 through December 2005 (when FBF disbanded). In January 2006, the Lord led us to become a part of a homechurch fellowship with seven other homeschooling families spanning five different counties. In November 2007, God led us to our current homechurch fellowship, which is currently made up of ten homeschooling families from seven different counties and one from the next state.

"So continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
and breaking bread from house to house,
they ate their food with gladness
and simplicity of heart, praising God"
(Acts 2:46-47)

Throughout the years, God has been teaching us about the sanctity of marriage. He has uprooted our thorny marriage foundation and has been renewing our minds. He has been rebuilding our marriage and has been teaching us that "marriage is honorable among all" (Hebrews 13:4).

"Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that
good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
(Romans 12:2)
